Matt & Jen Friend
Matt and Jen Friend are the lead pastors of nbchurch. They have been married for over 25 years and have 8 children. After leading worship for 20 years, they transitioned into the role of lead pastors in April of 2020. Their desire is to lead a congregation that will be the church and not just attend service. They have a heart to reach our city and beyond with the life-transforming message of Jesus. They believe in the next generation and value the wisdom and guidance of those that have gone before.
LEAD PASTORS
New Beginnings Full Gospel Church held its first service on April 17, 1985. This was the result of the Word of the Lord given to Pastor Paul Friend. The Lord also gave him Lam. 3:22-23, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.” As one of our foundational verses. The name of the church aligns with the vision that in Christ there are new beginnings prepared for you.
Paul and Ann Friend founded New Beginnings Church in 1985. After the transition in 2020, Paul & Ann Friend now serve on the oversight team for the lead pastors. They have walked in a calling to be a pastor to pastors for many years and now focus more time and effort in this direction while continuing to serve on presbytery teams around the world.
